Yanked Back to the Future

Now I know what it's like to travel back in time and get yanked back to the future. I was writing about my first trip outside the Philippines in a decade (read Year of the Rat) when I got a text message asking me about some work I didn't know I was supposed to do.

I was practically in South Korea at the time. I just uploaded my photos in a web album and I was trying to remember about what I felt at that moment in time when I took those photos. I remembered being alone and felt lost in a foreign land. I was also sleepy and anxious as I waited for my connecting flight to Osaka, Japan. It was in this state of mind that I was writing my story.

Then, suddenly, I was back. It was really disturbing to have to turn my focus on something when the rest of my thoughts were somewhere else.
